A LAW AGAINST SAGGY PANTS IN WARNER ROBINS IS GETTING A SECOND LOOK.
IT'S BEEN ON THE BOOKS FOR TWO YEARS... BUT NEVER ENFORCED.
LORRA LYNCH JONES FOUND OUT WHY ONE COUNCIL MEMBER WANTS THE LAW REWRITTEN... WHILE OTHERS WANT IT ERASED FROM CITY CODE.
ANTONIO HOGUE LIKES HIS LOOK... BUT TO THOSE WHO DONT...
Antonio Hogue: (977/2:00) "I understand you don't want to see my drawers, don't look at me. Don't look, keep going."
HE SAYS ITS NOT A CRIME... JUST STYLE.
Antonio Hogue: (977/1:05) "Were not really bad people, because we wear our shorts out like that. It's habit."
BUT HIS FRIEND KENDALL CARPENTER KNOWS THE STIGMA...
Kendell Carpenter: (982/4:00) " I know how people are, They try to judge you, by what you look like. You look at him and think he's some kind of gangster, but I know him personally that man ain't no gangster."
CITY COUNCIL MEMBER JOHN WILLIAMS SAYS HE'S NOT JUDGING... BUT WANTS PEOPLE IN PUBLIC PLACES... TO SHOW RESPECT.
John Williams: (1:50) "Maybe their t-shirts too short, the pants is too low, actually seeing exposed skin, which is really indecent."
Lorra Lynch Jones: "Under the current law, police can ticket people if their body or undergarments show three inches below the belt. But unless they're carrying a ruler, that's hard measure... and harder to hold-up in court."
WILLIAMS ALSO WANTS TO LOWER TICKET FINES FROM 500 TO 25 DOLLARS... AFTER CONCERNS FROM THE LOCAL NAACP.... ABOUT WHO WOULD PAY.
John Williams: (3:58) "It's putting an imposition onthe parents rather than the child."
CARPENTER PREFERS TO WEAR HIS PANTS UP...
Kendell Carpenter: (982/:2) "I don't want my daughter to see my running around with my pants hanging off my butt."
BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN HE FEELS HIS FRIEND...
Antonio Hogue: (977/1:40) "They can go bout they business. They ain't gotta look at me."
... SHOULD BE PUNISHED FOR WEARING HIS DOWN.

AS YOU PLAN FOR RETIREMENT... THE AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU'LL NEED DEPENDS ON HOW LONG YOU PLAN TO LIVE.
SHERRI GOSS WITH ROSENBERG FINANCIAL GROUP IS HERE WITH SOME ADVICE.
SHERRI... WHAT IS THE AVERAGE LIFE EXPECTANCY THESE DAYS?
Sherri: Right now the average is 75 for men, and 80 for women. But, what's interesting, is the longer you live, the longer you could live. Once you make it to age 65, you have a greater chance of living even longer. So averages don't mean a lot.
According to the Social Security website, a man reaching age 65 today can expect to live, on average, until age 83, and a woman who reaches age 65 today, can expect to live until age 85.
Last year, in the US, if both parties in a couple retired at age 62, and they don't smoke, statistically one of those people could live to age 92.
Many people I meet plan on dying before this, and that is a problem. If you use up your money by age 75, and live another ten years or longer , what is your life going to be like?
Think of it this way. If you plan for the worst, or best, whichever way you want to look at it, scenario, and you plan to live to 92, but you die earlier, you don't have a problem.
This means that you spend less, that you don't spend the principal balance of your investments--only the earnings, and that you select pension options that will pay you over the long haul, not just for ten years. This also impacts how you choose to take Social Security benefits.
If you'd like to see an estimate of how long you may live, go to livingto100.com which is a free site, answer the questions, and it will give you an estimate. Mine was 99.
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS FOR SHERRI CALL HER AT 752-1374 OR EMAIL HER AT EYEWITNESSNEWS@13WMAZ.COM.

, DUNN SAYS HE LIVED IN A MOBLIE HOME THEN....AND STILL DOES. SO DUNN SAYS HE STAYS VIGILLANT
"Usually neighbors will tell other neighbors really quick. It's a really nice place where we live.... We also watch the tv for the news updates..."
DUNN MOBILE HOME COMMUNITY IS OFF HIGHWAY 87 IN MONROE COUNTY. THE CITY OF FORSYTH HAS SIRENS...BUT THE REST OF THE COUNTY DOES NOT.
Matthew Perry"My goal is to have them installed by summer"
MATTHEW PERRY IS THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR IN MONROE COUNTY.
HE SAYS SIRENS MAY NOT BE AUDIBLE INDOORS ANYWAY.... AND TV AND PHONE WARNINGS COULD FAIL IN POWER OUTAGES
"We urge people to have a weather radio in their home. What's made this season different than others is that these storms are coming through and they're strong, but they're coming through at night which makes it difficult for us to alert people because they're dead asleep."
PERRY SAYS YOU CAN GET WEATHER RADIOS AT LOTS OF ... LIKE KROGER AND WALMART.
"they're very affordable.. I've seen them as low as five dollars and I've seen them as expensive as 50."
AS FOR DUNN... HE SAYS HE'LL RELY ON INSTINCT
"when you see two or three fromts clashing then you know theres a possiblity of a tornado."
CANDACE ADORKA 13 WMAZ EYEWITNESS NEWS.

SCHOOL OFFICIALS SAY THEY WAITED FOR THE STATE TO SET ITS BUDGET BEFORE HOLDING ITS PRE-K LOTTERY .
THEY SAY THEY'VE RECEIVED MORE THAN A THOUSAND APPLICATIONS FOR ABOUT 700 SPOTS.
PELT SAYS THAT MAKES IT TOUGH FOR PARENTS:
Katie Pelt, Bibb County: "You're not sure if they're gonna get in there and then if they don't, you know, what you're gonna do cause time's running out to get into any pre-k programs around."
THE STATE CUT PRE-K PROGRAMS AT BARDEN AND WILLIAMS ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.
