RODNEY HORNE WITH THE GEORGIA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES SAYS THE TEENAGER WENT FISHING ON THE OCONEE... IN THE SOUTH END OF DUBLIN... WITH ONE OTHER PERSON... WHEN HE FELL INTO THE WATER.
CREWS STARTED SEARCHING AT FIVE-A-M.
DNR BROUGHT IN A LARGE SONAR FROM GREENE COUNTY.
THAT SONAR IS EXPECTED TO SCAN DEEPER AND LARGER AREAS THAN THE SMALLER SONAR USED EARLIER TODAY.

FIRE DEPARTMENT VOLUNTEERS SAY THEY DON'T BELIEVE FOUL PLAY OR ALCOHOL IS INVOLVED.
FRIENDS SAY THE TEENAGER WAS EXPECTED TO GRADUATE FROM WEST LAURENS HIGH SCHOOL.

SOME FOLKS LOOKING TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY ATTENDED AN OPPORTUNITY SUMMIT TODAY.

NAACP PRESIDENT DAVID BOOKER HELD THE MEETING TO SPARK TALKS ON COMMUNITY ISSUES.
BOOKER SPOKE TO THE GROUP ABOUT HOW TO BOOST ECONOMIC GROWTH WITHIN NEIGHBORHOODS... AND IMPROVE EDUCATION.
HE HOPES MORE TALKS ON THESE TOPICS... WILL ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO SPEAK UP.

AFTER THEY SCOOPED UP THEIR EGGS... THEY GOT TOGETHER TO COUNT IT ALL UP.
THEY HOPED TO CATCH A CASH PRIZE RANGING FROM TEN TO ONE-HUNDRED DOLLARS... FOR COLLECTING THE MOST EGGS.

PARENTS CHEERED ON KIDS... AS OTHER PRIZES WERE HANDED OUT INCLUDING BIKES... AND KITES.

THIS IS THE 15TH YEAR FOR THE EVENT.
FESTIVAL COORDINATOR ANITA PONDDER SAYS THE FESTIVAL CELEBRATES PEACE-UNITY AND LOVE.
