THE AUDIENCE TRAVELED BACK TO 1935... WITH ACTORS THAT PORTRAYED FIGURES... LIKE DOUGLAS FREEMAN AND DOLLY LAMAR.
THE GROUP ALSO PRESENTED SOME OF LANIER'S (LA-NEER'S) POETRY.

LANIER (LA-NEER) WROTE MUSIC AND POETRY UNTIL HIS DEATH IN 18-81... HE IS MOST FAMOUS FOR HIS POEMS "THE MARSHES OF GLYNN"... WRITTEN ABOUT THE OPEN SALT MARSHES OF GLYNN COUNTY GEORGIA.
HISTORIC MACON HOSTED THE EVENT.
DIRECTOR JANIS HALEY SAYS THEY HONOR LANIER'S INFLUENCE IN CENTRAL GEORGIA EACH YEAR.
