    THIS IS EYEWITNESS NEWS AT 11.

     IF YOU'RE HEADED OUT THIS WEEKEND AND PLAN TO TRAVEL ON I-75.. LISTEN UP!

    IN BIBB COUNTY... CREWS WILL BE ON I-75 SOUTHBOUND UNTIL 9 P-M BOTH TODAY AND TOMORROW.
    CONSTRUCTION WILL TAKE PLACE BETWEEN MILE MARKER 167 AND 168... TRAFFIC WILL BE IN ONE LANE.

    IN HOUSTON AND DOOLY COUNTIES... CREWS WILL START WORKON I-75... IN BOTH DIRECTIONS.
    CREWS WILL BE WORKING BETWEEN MILE MARKER 117 AND 127... TRAFFIC WILL BE IN ONE LANE.
    THEY ARE WORKING TO REPLACE THE INSIDE SHOULDERS... AND TO DRAIN SEWAGE LINES.
    THEY'RE EXPECTED TO WRAP UP THE WORK... TOWARDS THE END OF APRIL.

    MORE THAN SIX-HUNDRED PEOPLE LOOKING TO SNAG A JOB AS HOUSTON COUNTY'S NEXT EDUCATOR... TOOK PART IN A TEACHER JOB FAIR TODAY.

    THEY TRAVELED FROM ALL OVER THE SOUTHEAST... TO CHECK OUT THE EVENT AT WARNER ROBINS HIGH SCHOOL.
    REPRESENTATIVES FROM 38-SCHOOLS WERE ON HAND... TO PERFORM SCREENING INTERVIEWS AND CHECK OUT RESUMES.
    APPLICANTS WERE ALSO INTERVIEWED... BY SOME OF THE STUDENTS WHO THEY MAY TEACH.
    TIM HELMS WITH THE HOUSTON COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD... SAYS THOSE WHO DO WELL ON THEIR FIRST INTERVIEW... WILL BE INVITED TO COME BACK FOR A SECOND.
    HE SAYS THE BOARD IS LOOKING TO FILL AT LEAST 100 HUNDRED NEW TEACHING JOBS... BY NEXT SCHOOL YEAR.

TIM HELMS, HOUSTON COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM: "THIS IS AN EXCITING TIME OF YEAR, EACH YEAR WHEN WE HAVE THE HOUSTON COUNTY JOB FAIR, WE SEE SOME GOOD FOLKS THAT ROLL THROUGH HERE THAT ARE HIGH ENERGY, ENTHUSIASTIC, AND ARE LOOKING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE CHILDREN'S LIVES AND THAT'S THE TYPE PEOPLE WE'RE LOOKING FOR."

    HELMS ALSO SAYS  PEOPLE WHO MISSED THE EVENT... CAN STILL APPLY WITH HOUSTON COUNTY SCHOOLS... HUMAN RESOURCES DEPARTMENT.

    NEARLY TWO-HUNDRED PEOPLE HIT THE DANCE FLOOR... TO HELP HONOR THE MEMORY... OF A CHILD WHO DIED OF CANCER.

    TODAY WOULD'VE MARKED JOSHUA SOLOMON'S SEVENTH BIRTHDAY.
    HIS PARENTS ORGANIZED A BENEFIT TO REMEMBER HIS LIFE... AND RAISE MONEY FOR SAINT JUDE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL.
    IT WAS A NIGHT OF DINNER AND DANCING... AND OUR VERY OWN CHIEF METEOROLOGIST BEN JONES EM-CEED THE PARTY.
    SOLOMON'S PARENTS SAY THEY'RE GRATEFUL FOR THE TURNOUT.

LABRINA SOLOMON, MOTHER: "WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A SILENT AUTION DINNER DANCING. WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A GIVE TO LIVE AND WE'RE GOING TO HONOR SOME CHILDREN WHO ARE BATTLING CHILDHOOD CANCER. WE'RE ALSO GOING TO REMEMBER AND CELEBRATE THE LIFE OF JOSHUA"

    THE SOLOMON'S SAY THEY PLAN TO MAKE THIS AN ANNUAL EVENT.

    A WARNER ROBINS CHARITY... "BREAST FRIENDS FOREVER".. BROUGHT A LITTLE PINK TO THE GALLERA MALL.... FOR THEIR FIRST FUNDRAISER TODAY.

    AS PART OF THE EVENT... SOME GOT FREE HAIR CUTS... IN EXCHANGE FOR A SMALL DONATION.
    OTHERS SHOWED THEIR SUPPORT BY BUYING NEW OR GENTLY USED PURSES... IN AN AUCTION.
    THE GROUP  WHO HELPS PAY THE BILLS OF BREAST CANCER PATENTS IN A FINANCIAL BIND... ALSO RAFFLED OF A PURSE-SHAPED CAKE.
    FOLKS AT THE EVENT SAY IT... DESERVES SUPPORT.

JUDY MASON COORDINATOR "WE ARE TRYING TO FIND A CAUSE AND A CURE TO ERADICATE THIS DESIASE AND WE ALSO NEED TO HELP THE PATENTS SUFFERING THROUGH THIS DESISSES BECAUSE THEY NEED HELP FIGHTING IT."
MACHELE WILLIMAS WARNER ROBINS " I HAVE HAD AN AUNT WHO HAS DIED FROM IT SO WHEN I SAW IT I SAID  OK I THINK IT IS GOOD CAUSE AND I WAS  GOING TO GET MY HAIR CUT ANYHOW SO NOW IT WILL GO TOWARDS SOMETHING THAT I BELIEVE."

    PEOPLE BROUGHT THEIR KIDS TO CENTERVILLE'S CITY HALL TO GET THEIR FINGER PRINTS TAKEN... ALONG WITH D-N-A TESTS.
    KIDS ALSO TOOK  PHOTO I-D'S AND MADE RECORDINGS OF THEIR VOICE.
    ALL EFFORTS THAT AUTHORITIES SAY WILL HELP IN THE RECOVERY AND IDENTFICATION OF MISSING CHILDREN.
    PARENT CINDY YON SAYS SHE'S HAD A CHILD ABDUCTED BEFORE... AND THANKFULLY.... GOT HER KID BACK.
    YON SAYS THE CHILD-I-D KIT WOULD'VE BEEN HELPFUL... AND SAYS SHE WANTS TO BE MORE PREPARED.
