42 Movie Production Designer Richard Hoover talked to 13WMAZ about some of the work that crews did on Plum and Third Street.

Hoover told us they were working to transform the property into a bus station.

Hoover said part of the reason why they were interested in Macon is that it could be many different locations.

"One of the reason we're down, we came down here was the stadium and we drove around and discovered wow - we can pull off things here," said Hoover.  "Macon has many existing structures that offered us a chance to embrace the period which was 1946-47.  Macon visually for us is wonderful - and it's got I mean our film has a need for a palette and the kinds of buildings - we're doing a Daytona street here, trying to do a little bit of a Brooklyn street, we're doing the station."
